Zarah is one of those females who brings love, personality and just a little bit of trouble into our lives.

She is an incredibly loving and affectionate girl, deeply connected to her people and happiest when she is part of whatever is happening around her. But don’t let that sweet personality fool you — Zarah is also our little devil and always up to something.

She is curious, clever, athletic and full of personality. If something interesting is happening, you can almost guarantee Zarah will be right in the middle of it. She loves chasing a ball, swimming and working in Schutzhund, and she approaches everything with enthusiasm.

Zarah and I were an amazing team. We developed a very special connection on the training field, and working with her was always about more than earning titles. We understood each other, enjoyed the work together and accomplished so much as a team. Those years of training and competing with her created memories that will always be very special to me.

Zarah proved herself both on the working field and in the show ring. She earned her BH, AD, IGP1 and KKL Lifetime, along with her V rating. Throughout her show career, she earned numerous excellent placements, including multiple VP1, SG1 and V1 ratings, as well as V4 at the 2021 USCA Sieger Show.

Her pedigree is another important part of what Zarah brought to our breeding program. She is a daughter of the outstanding VA Asap vom Aldamar, IPO3, KKL, a highly successful producer whose influence can be seen through accomplished offspring around the world. Her mother is V Janey dei Precision, SchH1, KKL, giving Zarah proven show quality, working ability and character from both sides of her pedigree.

But when I think about Zarah, the titles aren’t what I remember first. I remember the dog beside me — her personality, our training, our connection and everything we accomplished together.

Underneath all of her accomplishments is a genuinely sweet, devoted and affectionate German Shepherd with a huge personality. She is loving, intelligent, athletic, mischievous and always entertaining.

Zarah is our little devil with a very big heart — but to me, she will always be something more: my partner and one half of an amazing team.
